Former Manchester United star, David Beckham, has said former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, is rooting for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to land the full-time job at Old Trafford.

Beckham and Solskjaer won five Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a Champions League crown during their time together at United.

Speaking to reporters in Miami, where he is president of the citys new Major Soccer League team, Beckham said the Norwegians success has not surprised him.

Seeing Ole do so well, its obviously great to see, especially as a fan.

But, as a friend and a former team-mate, to see someone who knows and understands the club come in and do as well as he has done has been great.

Hes just brought the players together, and the players have responded in the right way, the way the fans hoped.

Hes obviously gained experience in Norway, and in that spell at Cardiff but now hes come back and done what hes done. It makes us former team-mates very proud.

(But) Im not surprised at all. We had great players, talent and infrastructure at the club everything Manchester United is all about, he said.

Good one and nice
